Instagram Feed Preview

Preview and rearrange your next posts in an Instagram-style grid.

Grid shape

0 / 12 images. The top-left tile is your newest post. Drag a tile or use the arrows to reorder. Images stay in your browser and are never uploaded.

Your profile grid is often the first thing a new visitor sees, and it is hard to picture how the next few posts will sit together until they are already live. This free Instagram feed preview lets you lay out up to 12 images in a three-column grid and shuffle them until the colors, faces and text balance across rows.

Drag tiles into a new order or use the arrows, remove anything that doesn't fit, and switch between the tall 3:4 thumbnails Instagram's grid uses today and the older square layout. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded. It works as a quick Instagram feed planner for the next week or two of posts.

Planning a grid that spans several tiles? Split one image into pieces with the Instagram grid maker, or size photos for the feed with the image resizer. Once the order looks right, schedule the posts in that order with the PostJay Instagram scheduler.

Frequently asked questions

Why are the grid tiles tall instead of square?

Instagram changed the profile grid in early 2025 from square thumbnails to taller rectangles, widely reported as a 3:4 shape. Your full post still opens at its original size, but the grid crops each thumbnail. The 1:1 option shows the older square layout for comparison.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Every image is previewed straight from your device in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to PostJay, and closing the page clears it.

Which tile is my newest post?

The top-left tile. Instagram shows the most recent post first and fills the grid left to right, top to bottom. So the image you plan to post next goes in position 1, and older posts sit further down.

How do I make sure nothing important gets cropped?

Keep faces, text and products near the center of each image. Thumbnails are cropped to fit the grid shape, so anything close to the edges can be cut off. Preview the grid here, then adjust the image or its crop in Instagram before you publish.
